RING: Drop dead gorgeous platinum ring. 2.55 carats diamonds plus half carat emerald. The medium dark green center emerald is surrounded by diamonds. The larger stones are weighty, cushion cut diamonds, circa 1895. The primary stones are thought to have been taken from a turn of the century brooch and remounted into this wildly beautiful platinum ring, somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 years ago. The 4 larger diamonds, which graduate in size from nearly 3/4 carat to just under a half carat, surround the top half of the emerald, while a flaired double row of 9 graduated diamonds sweep downward to form a dramatic cradle. BRACELET: Not yet appraised. Breathtaking Edwardian 14k gold, rose cut diamond and sapphire choker, converted for use as a bracelet perhaps 40 to 50 years ago. Attached to the choker is a custom made, sapphire studded gold bracelet. The original choker portion of the bracelet, an oval with wings, measures nearly 2 1/2" high x 2 3/4" wide. Overall bracelet length is about 7 1/2" from end to end. The center sapphire in the choker is approx. 8 carats and has a natural feather, about .60pt in rose cut diamonds set in white gold, and roughly 4 ct in round sapphires. The 14k bracelet portion, 7 hinged links plus clasp with safety chain contains another 10 to 12 carats in sapphires. There is a milligrain edge, and sapphires are bezel set. 44.2 pwt. Note: Considerable expense went into having a custom matching bracelet added to the significantly older choker. Although we are unable to confirm it with absolute certainty, the choker portion appears to be genuine Edwardian. $6500. Certified Appraisal included*. Item # BRNT040101-130
